Jordan E. Brooks is not the typical artist with his odd combo influences of old and new. Artists such as the Dutch paint detail masters,to Picasso, Norman Rockwell,Neckface, Todd Schorr, Tim Okamura, Amy Sol, kris kuksi,Sam Weber, Jim Lee, Stan Lee, Kerry James Marshall,Charles White,Katsushika Hokusai,Goya!,Todd Mcfarlane, J. Allen St. John, and James Avati to name a few. Drawing from any and everything he can get his hands on, Jordan E. Brooks an aspiring illustrator plans on letting his passion and attraction for design and color guide him. “One question people usually ask me once they find out I am kind of a serious artist is…..What medium are you? What style? Oh wait…you don’t have a style (Odd stare/glare) HA!? I don’t think people get that art takes time. Developing a style doesn’t happen overnight. I take the title *ARTIST!* serious. To me only time and real talent and the purse of progression can really determine that title for me.” He invites you to follow him on his journey in finding his path!

 

 

 

Artist Bio:

 Kansas Native Jordan E. Brooks may not be a big name yet, but give it time! He’s been Influenced by such a wide variety of art ranging from Fine classical of 1600s to the comic books styling’s greats of the 90’s. Born and raised in Kansas, Jordan spent much of his life between Topeka and Lawrence city. Following his mother, he picked up a pencil at the age 3 and half and never stopped! But art hasn’t always been so clear for him. “It took me awhile to find my heart back to art, at such a young age I was always viewed as an artist or pressured into that field whether or not I really wanted. No matter what I did, art seem to never let me give up...never let me go. So I guess I appreciate this art thing more. Not so much as feeling chosen, but given a chance to prove myself now. To have your work starting to be recognized by such nationally and international professional talents only inspires me to work harder. This is just the start, I promise. To achieve you must first believe.  Now at the age of 27, trusting in my talents as it has trusted in me, now grows something unlike anything else in contemporary art today. Falling back in love, I’m now hard at work on a number of illustration projects, plus a new collection of painting& drawings that should be ready for show in late spring 2012 titled:WINDOWS ART COLLECTION(part1). As for WINDOWS(part2)debuting sometime in the Summer 2012!" So stay tuned for what’s to come from this promising powerful Kansas indie fine artists.
